How to Give Eye Drops to Your Toddler
Giving eye drops to a toddler can feel challenging, but a few simple steps can make the process easier. Have your child lie on their back and close their eyes tightly. Place one to two drops in the inner corner of each eye, near the nose.
Encourage your child to relax and slowly open their eyes. The drops will naturally flow into the eye without needing to force their eyes open. Use a clean tissue or cloth to gently wipe away any extra liquid.
Always follow your child’s healthcare provider’s instructions when using eye drops.
